Warren Maggin

Warren is a Clinical Nutritionist, College Lecturer and Speaker, specialising in the personalised and functional management of chronic metabolic dysfunction through the principles of Nutritional Medicine and a highly individualised approach to patient care. He serves as the National Chair of Nutrition for the Australian Natural Therapists Association and is a Scientific Advisor to practitioner resource companies in the industry.

Dr Denise Furness

Dr Denise Furness PhD is a pioneer in the field of nutrigenomics and personalized health. She has published her work in peer reviewed journals and has won numerous awards for her research and conference presentations. In 2012 she founded Your Genes and Nutrition and began applying her knowledge in private practice. Denise provides education for health practitioners drawing on her own clinical trials, the latest evidence-based research and official guidelines in relation to nutrigenomics, lifestyle and environmental medicine.

Professor David O. Carpenter

Prof. David O. Carpenter is the Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment, a collaborating Centre of the World Health Organization at the School of Public Health, State University of New York at Albany, USA. With more than 450 peer-review scientific publications, he is an internationally renowned expert in human health effects of environmental contaminants including metals, organic compounds and non-ionizing radiation.

Associate Professor Vicki Kotsirilos AM

Associate Professor Vicki Kotsirilos AM is a respected holistic general practitioner, with adjunct positions with La Trobe and Western Sydney Universities. Vicki is an expert in Environmental Medicine and a Fellow of ACNEM. She has served on various federal and state government committees such as the Australian Drug Reaction Advisory Committee, the Complementary Medicines Evaluation Committee and Therapeutics Goods Administration.

Dr Natasha Andreadis 

Dr Natasha Andreadis is a fertility specialist and gynaecologist who believes in a holistic and integrative approach to health. Dr Andreadis trained at RPAH Sydney and completed her fellowship in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility (CREI) in the Netherlands and Oxford, UK. She has also completed a Masters of Reproductive Science and Genetics.

Dr Peter Brukner 

Peter Brukner OAM is a specialist sports and exercise physician formerly the Australian cricket team doctor.  Dr Brukner is co-author of text book Clinical Sports Medicine and co-founder of the public health campaign SugarByHalf. His most recent book A Fat Lot of Good was published last year.

Dr Noor Buchholz (UAE)

Dr Noor Buchholz trained in Germany, Switzerland and Australia and has worked as a Consultant Urologist in Pakistan, the Netherlands, UK and now works in Dubai. Dr Buchholz is a leading expert in minimally invasive urological surgery and an expert in shockwave lithotripsy, endourology and laparoscopy.

Dr Lucy Burns 

Dr Burns worked in general practice and at the Department of Defence at HMAS Cerberus as a civilian medical officer during which time she noticed a large increase in obesity in the current serving members and new recruits. Lucy set up Epiphany Medical Weight Loss and now focuses on obesity management.

Linda Funnell-Milner 

Linda is a Functional Nutritionist and Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Prior to her work in clinical practice Linda spent 20 years in corporate roles in Australia and globally was Chair of a UN sponsored Council based in Amsterdam. Listen to Linda here.

Associate Professor Ross Grant 

Dr Ross Grant has graduate degrees in both Clinical Biochemistry and Neurochemistry. Dr Grant’s research is focused on the role of oxidative stress and changes in NAD+ metabolism and how these influence cellular degeneration, particularly in the brain and central nervous system.

Cliff Harvey (NZ)

Cliff Harvey is a registered clinical nutritionist and researcher and coaches people ranging from world champion athletes through to the chronically and acutely unwell. Cliff is the author of six books including the The Carbohydrate Appropriate Diet and 99 Things You Need to Know to Lose Fat!

Professor Aaron Lerner (Israel)

Professor Aaron Lerner is a paediatric gastroenterologist currently working at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and the AESKU.KIPP Institute Germany. His main interests include microbiome and autoimmunity and processed food additive and autoimmunity. He has presented at numerous international congresses, published 270 manuscripts and is on the editorial board for 20 international journals.

Professor Peter Meikle

Professor Peter Meikle is a NHMRC Senior Research Fellow and leader of the Obesity and Diabetes Program and Head of the Metabolomics Laboratory at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute.

Dr Sam Mirzaee

Dr Sam Mirzaee is a consultant cardiologist, clinical lipidologist and PhD research fellow at MonashHeart. Dr Mirzaee has a particular interest in the assessment of complex lipid disorders associated with premature coronary artery disease and cardiac arrhythmia.

Dr Jim Parker 

Dr Parker has published research articles on preterm labour, obstetric emergencies, endoscopic surgery and the nutritional and environmental aspects of polycystic ovary syndrome. Dr Parker is passionate about the role of nutritional and environmental factors in the prevention of gynaecological health problems and the epidemic of chronic diseases in general.

Dr Shideh Pouria (UK)

Dr Pouria has extensive experience in general and specialist medicine as well as in medical research in the field of glycobiology of IgA. She holds a visiting research fellowship at Kings College London, is the Vice-President of the British Society for Ecological Medicine and is on the scientific advisory board for the Allergy Research Foundation.

Nathan Rose 

Nathan is the Clinical Education Manager at Metagenics and plays a central role in the development of seminars, technical data and educational programs.

Professor Grant Schofield (NZ)

Professor Grant Schofield is a Professor of Public Health and the Director of the Human Potential Centre in Auckland. He has co-authored several best-selling books in the “What the Fat?” series and is founded a start up called PreKure (Prevention is Cure).

Dr Ken Sikaris

Dr Sikaris was the Director of Chemical Pathology at St Vincent’s Hospital in 1993 and Medical Director of Dorevitch Pathology in 1998 before starting at Melbourne Pathology in 2003. Dr Sikaris is interested in the impact of low carbohydrate diets on health and blood tests.

Amie Skilton 

Amie is a presenter, educator and writer for BioCeuticals. Amie is passionate about optimising vitality through precision medicine and has a special interest in women’s health and hormones, natural fertility, chronic skin disorders and environmental illness.

Dr Robert Szabo

Dr Szabo is passionate about helping people improve their health. He is a GP and founder of The Low Carb Clinic, a unique doctor and dietitian clinical practice focusing on diabetes, obesity and PCOS.

Dr Rod Tayler

Dr Rod Tayler is an Australian anaesthetist with an interest in low carb nutrition. He is the founder of Low Carb Down Under website which hosts a range of resources to assist people to optimise their health and weight.

Professor Helen Truby

Professor Truby’s background is paediatric dietetics and she is currently the Director of Dietetics at Monash University where she runs  Food as Medicine: Talking about Weight. She has extensive expertise in clinical trials and is currently involved in the development of the Decadal Plan, a nutrition guide for the next century.

Dr Elvira Zilliacus

Dr Zilliacus is a genetic counsellor and in 2010 completed her PhD investigating the process of genetic counselling to rural women at high risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
